I'd never thought of the significance of Jesus' half-brother James later conversion in that light before. Good point!

Amen.

The trap that we can easily fall into if we are not careful is to approach Easter as a story. 'Story' can be interepreted as 'fiction.'

The gospel of Jesus Christ is not a 'story.' It is a testament proposed for belief, based on the account of eye witnesses who saw the risen Jesus.

And as wnponline points out, some of these witnesses seem unlikely candidates. An additional compelling fact: The apostles are painted in a poor light - slow to understand and slow to believe. If the events were contrived, they surely would have come up with a better story.

In the final analysis of your own belief, there is only one question: Is Jesus Christ, yes or no, the Son of the Living God?

Read the testaments, open your heart and mind in prayer, and consider the fruit of the labors of those who believe. And then ask yourself, "Is it true?" And realize the your answer is not based in knowledge, but in faith. Your answer will change your life.

If anyone else spoke these words, it would not be out of place to suggest help, because it sounds delusional, what you would expect to hear from someone approaching a nervous breakdown. But this kind of surrealism is becoming the norm.

I have managed to secure two job interviews this week, and can confirm the dire prospects at the Jobcenter Plus: The 'Plus' is an enigma to me, a bit 'Esperanto'. When people talk about 'plenty of work if you are serious', I could very easily become violent. But I am confident that I will now be in work within the next couple of weeks: Not ideal forms of employment but it will have to do.

The world is in the hands of idiots. Such a statement would usually need qualifying, but the evidence is overwhelmingly obvious, and no such qualifying is necessary. Unfortunately I have no say, and never have, these idiots have done it all alone, and I have to keep smiling and nodding my head. If anyone out there thinks that we are in safe hands, you are blessed, with something, I hope you can remain this way. If its drug induced, keep taking them, the view from the front seat is schizophrenic.

It's amazing how someone of virtually unknown background can win in an election. While McCain strove to make himself and his accomplishments known, Obama strove to keep his true background hidden. In a time of uncertainty and fatigue, Obama offered exactly what the weary Americans were desperately looking for - hope and change. I think it is a testimony to the power of the airwaves.
